Change & co-creation in sustainability projects

Ambitious sustainability goals - how do we achieve them?

We have set ourselves ambitious sustainability targets, but how do we achieve a real, successful transformation that gets everyone on board?

The goal of sustainability has arrived in most companies. For many customers and applicants, the sustainable management of a company is no longer a motivator, but a hygiene factor. The topic is also becoming increasingly important for investors. Ambitious sustainability goals with a suitable, clear strategy for achieving them are important for this. However, what is often lacking is the actual implementation of this strategy with the entire organization. For a successful transformation, we need the motivation, creative ideas and drive of our employees.

Co-creation and innovation for real sustainability change

From the supply chain to technical infrastructure, real estate and energy management to environmentally friendly ways of working for employees - there is potential in all areas of the organization. But sometimes it is difficult to get started.

A holistic approach is needed that looks at the organization as a whole. Sustainability or corporate social responsibility departments need to work more closely with specialist departments, but also with organizational development, cultural initiatives and top management. Different perspectives and expertise make it possible to develop creative solutions to complex problems .

This requires consistency in the organization between vision and leadership, culture and processes.

It is also important to have a good innovation and ideas management system that involves as many employees as possible. Sustainable management has so far played a subordinate role or no role at all in the work of most employees. A joint approach to the challenges is the key to success. We want to create awareness, break down silos and strengthen co-creation.

Change Management as a success factor for sustainability projects

Challenges such as a lack of awareness and silo thinking are not new, but are just as common to us as change consultants in other major transformations, e.g. through digitalization or agilization. In order to address employees, pick them up mentally and get them to take active action, it is not possible to use off-the-shelf solutions, but rather measures that are individually tailored to the organization.

As a hidden champion at Change Management , we focus on people when it comes to organizational development because we are convinced that they are capable of shaping their organization for the future and making it successful.
