Frankfurt, 24. April 2018 – From 7- 10 April 2018, top representatives of Austrian politics and industry discussed with China’s leaders the roadmap to strengthen cooperation in the future. The conference ‘Austria Connect’ organized by ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA BEIJING brought more than 250 business people and politicians to the capital city of China. It gave very valuable insights into ongoing and upcoming initiatives as well as good food for thought for building-up or extending already existing business engagements in China.
Two keynote speakers, Mandy Minxia Zhang from Daimler Greater China and Rachel Morarjee from the Economist Corporate Network, highlighted great panel discussions with top representatives from politics, industry and Advantage Austria. At the same time, working groups fostered exchange and mutual learning in smaller segments.
With CPC’s strong background on localizing strategies, its team was honoured and pleased to facilitate the working group “Thinking global, acting local”. Here, the participants were guided through lively discussions on the strategic ingredients required for a successful go-to-market. Anne Babilon-Teubenbacher and Michael Babilon-Teubenbacher focused on the dimensions of stakeholders, external environment, internal capabilities as well as strategy deployment and adaptation in China. At the same time, they led participants through a self-assessment and an intense exchange on related challenges and solutions. Special thanks to Andreas Kube, who represented the results in the panel discussion.
