Shanghai, 13. September 2018 – The future operating model for HR – CPC at the 2018 AHK-Shanghai HR Summit. The 2018 HR Summit organized by the German Chamber of Commerce (AHK) in Shanghai was again the right place to be. Everyone, who wanted to dive into the various HR challenges and solutions for German companies in China, gained from the event.
Anne Babilon-Teubenbacher, Manager at CPC, led a workshop on “HR Working Model of the Future – Agile or More?” Around 40 professionals, mostly from HR, were introduced to an agile working model as the best practice. Anne pointed out the particular challenges that arise from the need to run a traditional and the agile operating system at the same time to be able to cope with the future requirements towards HR departments. Indeed, HR departments will often require an additional support to successfully implement and operate the new model. Furthermore, an adjustment of leadership styles might be needed as well.
During the second half of the workshop, the participants discussed their own experience in implementing the new working models in their organizations. They shared their insights on the kind of support they would require to succeed. Anne concluded that a number of the participants shared similar challenges rooted in the relationship between the German headquarters and the local HR departments.
